So much fun and so much to do! The little Grimm dude is really cool too. Art style on the whole is really great.
Spotted a few buys with words that it would and wouldn't accept and don't really understand why you can't use two letter words, particularly on the challenges where you have to use a restricted amount of letters.
Would highly recommend.
Thank you for the detailed feedback! If you can remember any of the words that didn't work, let us know and we'll add them to the game's dictionary, thanks! :)
As for two-letter words not being allowed - we made that as a design decision early on. We might revisit it sometime to see if it makes sense to allow them. Thanks again for the suggestions and feedback!
When you get the hang of it, it can be a really fun game. The art style is atmospheric and fits it really well.
The only thing I would say is that the difficult spikes really rapidly between the early levels. It would be good to introduce a few mechanics at a time more slowly so the player can learn to be awesome at it.
Thanks for feedback! I like those games where player has to figure advanced mechanics by himself. I hate that casual modern games where first half of the game it seems that you're playing tutorial :D
I also created a walkthrough video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jeafi3c-bpE) to help players that might experience troubles on later levels.
It's pretty tricky and I think part of that is getting used to the controls. The visuals are great and the gameplay is solid. The difficulty at the start is really high tho. It might benefit from a few tutorial screens to ease the player in.
Full of potential to be really fun!
Thank you, I'm glad you past the control hump. It is a bit unique :).
If I continue with the project, I do have plans to have an in game tutorial.
